Blemishes Color and consistency: Pick a shade of concealer that matches your skin tone or foundation. The best way to hide a blemish is to hide the redness. Don’t use something that is lighter than the blemish, because you’re going to draw attention to it. Concealer with a thicker consistency (from a stick or a pot) generally works best since it gives maximum coverage.
